Or, even worse, is it something our soldiers subject themselves to even today?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7201660899514011402.post-65715673538968924622018-07-20T21:36:11.255-05:002018-07-20T21:36:11.255-05:00Agree. However this film drew me in and enthralled me with qualities you have spoken of; good acting and great dialogue. Strong characters are important. Characters you are interested in, and this had an abundance. The dialogue was fun, interesting, sympathetic. The pacing was brilliant.

Richard Conte, Dana Andrews, Lloyd Bridges and Norman Lloyd (still alive at 102!) were all brilliant. And to be honest I thought the deaths were some of the best of the time as well, they weren't too bad 'throwing the arms in the air' deaths.JRSoulVisionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384717587851551069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7201660899514011402.post-69575974620294706122014-07-31T14:37:09.889-05:002014-07-31T14:37:09.889-05:00Thanks for the information. I found this at the OAK PARK library Venture county CA. The library had some extensive notes on films done there. I should have about the farmhouse because when you saw the bullets hit the wall of the farmhouse chunks of plaster like material splattered. Lastly there was another great war movie filmed nearby at Mailbu State park CA-"Objective Burma". The notes about this film are very interesting. The information can be obtained from actor Richard Eardman who played Sgt Hooper. He talks extensively on the production on one of His waeb sites-He is still alive. He played in Stalag 17 and a few other notable film. Lastly the original soundtrack recording to "Objective Burma" by FRanz Waxman is available on ITUNES and AMAZON. Well thanks again for your input I hope I have contribute some what to the Warmoviebuff. Incidently do you know if it is possible to obtain some small artifact from "A Walk in the Sun" ? My buddies and I would to have some small memorabilia from the film.

Sincerely Ralph Antonelli
rantonelli@cox.netAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7201660899514011402.post-23421703148975993702014-07-29T11:12:23.772-05:002014-07-29T11:12:23.772-05:00Please let me know what you find out. Please let me know what you find out.War Movie Buffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05999735218343872013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7201660899514011402.post-68512872432227381972014-07-28T09:31:40.587-05:002014-07-28T09:31:40.587-05:00Warmoviebuff thanks so very much for your input. ...Warmoviebuff thanks so very much for your input.
