I would have gotten most but not all.
ReplyDeleteI chose 60 stills from a variety of movies and then put every sixth one on this quiz so it is a mix of easy to hard. I would think the black and whites are the hardsest.
ReplyDeleteWell I can identify couple of those:
ReplyDelete1.A Bridge Too Far
3.Cross Of Iron
4.Flags Of Our Fathers
5.Glory
7.Laurance Of Arabia
8.Patriot
10. Tropic Thunder (But this was rather a comedy gimmick than a war movie ~ actually I did not like it much)
Didn't know #4 Flags of our Fathers. Only seen parts of that one. Had to really think about the Steve Mcqueen one's title. There were alot of "Hell is for Heroes" type titles around that time. I still havent seen Cross of Iron yet but hard to miss James Coburn even from the back. That famous grey/white shock of hair. Just saw A Bridge to Far on tv. One of the last "pack in the big name stars like sardines" movies. That's a memorable scene with James Caan. Interesting to compare that one to the scene with Robert Redford sayin his Hail Marys rowin across the river underfire.
ReplyDeleteThat Robert Downey Jr. acting job in Tropic Thunder is one of the best ones i ever saw. Took some chops to do that one and pull it off.
